Gregor Lersch Chapel Designer Event
For many years I lived in a world completely focused on weddings and events. I set my sights on learning from the world renowned master, Gregor Lersch. I dared to HOPE that someday I would be able to meet him and learn beyond my training as a wedding designer. In 2015, we purchased our farm, Hope Flower Farm, and within 3 weeks of owning the farm I was blessed to have Gregor Lersch as one of our first teachers. Gregor has shown me a world of artistry and beauty beyond anything I had dared to imagine. With new found skills, my daily works have evolved and I will forever be grateful for every second I have been able to spend with this remarkable designer.
For this Chapel Designer Workshop, you will get the benefit of Gregor’s artistry and the knowledge of how Holly implements his techniques in her offerings. Holly will teach business and marketing based on her 25+ years of experience in the floral industry. Students will experience hands-on design time with both Gregor and Holly. The gardens of Hope will be in full bloom and we can’t wait to share this opportunity with you.
Day 1 - 9:30 AM - 5:30 PM
Breakfast snacks offered during morning discussion. Lunch is also included.
We will start the morning with a business discussion with Holly and Evan Chapple (if we get lucky!).

Bridal Bouquets with techniques from Gregor and a few tips from Holly.
We will explore personal flowers and ways to properly hydrate these delicate designs for long lasting enjoyment along with hands-on time for designers to make pieces of their choice.
Day 2- 9:30 AM - 5:30 PM

Group Project Large Scale Installation and set the table for a final dinner with Gregor Lersch.
What’s not included in ticket price:
We are located at 40905 Stumptown Rd, Waterford ,VA 20197. We are served by three major airports (traffic delays are not included, times are average and estimated):
Dulles (IAD) approx. 40 minute drive
Washington National (DCA) approx. 75 minute drive
Baltimore Washington (BWI) approx. 75 minute drive
We are a five minute drive to the closest “mini-mart” and a fifteen minute drive to Leesburg’s hotels, grocery stores, and restaurants. There is one restaurant in Lucketts called Roots. This restaurant is amazing but is closed on Mondays.
Transportation from the airport may be served by the general taxi services (yellow cab, Uber, Lyft, etc.) and rental car agencies . The farm is somewhat remote and we have had some issues with transportation not arriving in a timely manner for "early return trips" to the airport. Remember that TSA recommends you check in at least two hours prior to your departure. Those 6:30 AM flights home may require attendees transportation to arrive as early as 3:30AM. Please consider this as you plan your trip.
Additionally the workshop ends after dinner on Wednesday September 4, 2019. If you plan on leaving Wednesday, you will most likely miss the conclusion of the event.
LODGING- not included/ though options are available for an additional fee (see Option 3 above)
Hope Flower Farm B and B - There is limited availability for rooms to rent in the farm’s tenant house. This is a great opportunity to become immersed in the farm’s atmosphere and save your time from commuting back and forth to class every day. You will be just steps away from the classrooms (barns and manor house) and will enjoy roaming the grounds and gardens. Another benefit of staying at the farm is the potential for “overtime” with Holly - the impromptu and invaluable after class chat sessions.
The tenant house is rented as a “hostel” type environment.
There are three queen bedrooms, a shared bathroom, full kitchen, den, and dining area. Unless you rent the entire house, expect to have housemates. What a great way to enjoy the company of your fellow students and begin to build lasting relationships. Rooms are available as single occupancy only.
We also have partnered with other B and B’s in the immediate area, and will be able to recommend places to stay (see below). Additionally there are hotels in Leesburg- a fifteen minutes drive.
